Acclaimed singer/songwriter Rose Carleo is most notably recognized for her exquisite yet wonderfully powerful voice. Her ability to bring life to songs and make them her own is undeniable. The timbre of her voice is sublime. So much so, that from song to song she can draw on the sultry, smoky huskiness of the blues through to the emotion-laden, angelic-like dulcet tones for which she has perfected through sheer determination and her own life experiences. Rose’s voice has also drawn the attention of many household names such as Jimmy Barnes, Vanessa Amorosi, Beccy Cole and Adam Brand all of whom she has either performed with or opened for while on tour.

This award winning singer has a string of achievements to her name including Winner for Best Female Vocalist for the 2012 Victorian & National Country Music Awards and recognition by Australian music guru Glenn A. Baker with his request for the inclusion of Rose’s song “That Season Again” on his compilation album “It’s A Blues Thing” released by Sony Music in 2012.

Rose has made numerous appearances at Tamworth Country Music festival, Gympie Music Muster and many other music festivals around the country. Her music videos also feature regularly on free-to-air and Pay TV country music shows. These music videos include her hits “It’s Not Me, It’s You”, “Runaway Heart”, “Til I Find Me Again” and her multi-award winning song “That Season Again” which are regularly viewed by her fans on the Rose Carleo YouTube channel. Rose is also an in-demand songwriter whose credits include collaborations with Drew McAlister, Ben Ransom and songwriting great Allan Caswell to name a few.

Rose is currently writing and recording songs for her forthcoming album which will be her third full-length release. In preparation for this project she is hitting the road again to find stories and inspiration while she performs shows along the way.

Accompanying Rose on this journey is guitarist and songwriter Mick Adkins who for many years has an established background in guitar based rock music but also has a passion for the styles of blues and country blues guitar.

Over the last few years Mick has regularly performed in the Australian super group “Raise The Flag” alongside past and present members of nationally renowned bands such as The Angels, The Choir Boys, Baby Animals, Skyhooks and The Screaming Jets. One of his personal highlights was in 2011 when he shared the stage with bassist Mark Evans and drummer Simon Wright both of whom are past members of international rock stalwarts AC/DC.

Mick also has an original rock project with his brother Steve. Their band “Rogue Sharks” has released an E.P. and two albums over the last decade or so.

While Mick’s background is predominantly rock, his versatility with rock, blues and country is remarkably well suited to Rose’s music style and together they make for a great musical duo.

Rose Carleo and Mick Adkins will be appearing at venues throughout NSW, Queensland, Victoria and Tasmania over the next four months with tours planned for S.A. and W.A. early 2014.
